What Does a Surrogacy Birth Coordinator Provide?
A Surrogacy Birth Coordinator and Support Specialist not only handles the logistical aspects of your upcoming surrogacy birth, like collecting hospital policies and liaising with hospital personnel, but also strives to make every step less daunting. The primary aim is to ensure that everyone involved feels listened to, nurtured, and guided throughout the journey.
This involves virtual support regardless of where you live, in the comfort of your own home! Ash offers comprehensive support for parents and surrogates from 20 weeks of pregnancy to 2 months post-birth.
Services include live calls, weekly office hours, wellness tips, unlimited email and text support, and an E-book filled with educational gems, journal prompts, checklists, and more. Plus, you also receive access to an online workshop designed specifically for surrogacy births.
Ash also help you gather information, such as hospital protocols, helping you locate lodging near the delivery hospital for your home away from home, ensuring you have all the needed baby essentials, assisting with feeding resources for formula and/or human milk, and much more.
Ash also offers pregnancy wellness support for surrogates related to pregnancy and postpartum such as, helping to locate local wellness professionals when requested and approved, postpartum recovery and lactation support, whether that is with pumping supplies, milk shipping guidance, or tips for stopping the milk production process. Ash offers support around bonding and attachment for parents through surrogacy such as, inducing lactation information, using a supplemental feeding system (with formula or human milk), baby-wearing guidance. She also help parents locate donor milk/milk banks, newborn care specialist, doulas, night nurses, and much more!

First call between 20-25 weeks of pregnancy to discuss resources and specific needs.
Second call between 30-35 weeks
(closer to birth)
Office Hours 30 minute slots available weekly
Unlimited text and email support (during business hours) from 20 weeks of pregnancy to 2 months post-birth.
Surrogacy Birth Workbook with journal prompts, hospital packing lists, checklists, etc.
Resources includes basic assistance with locating resources for all involved. Option to add matching support.
**Additional Support- Newborn Support Matching includes prescreening doulas/newborn care specialists and assistance with the interview process to streamline and offer personalized guidance and support every step of the way.
What Does A New Parenthood Support Specialist Offer?
Doula Support
Postpartum doulas are specifically trained and experienced to offer physical, emotional, and educational support after childbirth OR during the first few months with a new baby for all parents and caregivers. Your doula will meet you at your home and offer care for a specific amount of time as you transition to parenthood (or parenting again). They do not provide medical assistance. They provide non-biased, evidenced based information, resources, and support your personal experience.
Typical Hourly Rate for A New Parenthood Doula
Day (8am-5pm) singleton $40-$65
Day (8am-5pm) multiples $45-$70
Night (7pm-9am) singleton $45-$75
Night (7pm-9am) multiples $50-$75 (potentially higher if also a licensed nurse)
Fees are based on location, duties, and experience.
Postpartum/New Parenthood Doula Roles Include:
Physical, emotional, informational support and guidance
Overnight Care
Basic feeding support including induced lactation or using a supplemental feeding system. bottles, combo, milk pick up/drop off if your surrogate is pumping, etc.
Newborn care suggestions and support including newborn massage, bath time, sleep support, baby-wearing, etc.
Unlimited phone, text, and email support for any questions or concerns
Food preparation and light meals and snacks
Overall wellness/self care support for new parents
Errands and grocery shopping (funds to be provided by client in advance)
Light housekeeping related to the newborn stage (laundry, dishes, cleaning bottles, tidying up etc.)
Sibling entertainment
Pet care (walks, feeding, love)
Referrals: for medical care providers, perinatal practitioners, lactation consultants etc.
Baby care, changing, feeding, naps, walks, engaging activities, reading, tummy time etc.
